Next Generation Nonprofit Leaders Program
The Next Generation Nonprofit Leaders Program (NextGen) is a competitive internship stipend program for Nonprofit Leadership Alliance students. NextGen helps a racially and ethnically diverse group of students with demonstrated leadership potential complete nonprofit internships.
So far, more than 950 NextGen Leaders have conducted 285,000 nonprofit internship hours!
And we have awarded more than $4.25 million in stipends!
Through a generous grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, the Alliance awards $4,500 internship stipends to students conducting nonprofit internships. Over the five-year course of the NextGen program, we will award $4.5 million to 1,000 NextGen Leaders.
Nonprofit organizations that host NextGen Leaders as interns will gain access to, and benefit from, the services of prepared and dedicated Alliance students preparing to enter the workforce as nonprofit professionals. A goal of NextGen is to illustrate the positive effect of internship stipends and on the recruitment and retention of skilled and diverse next generation nonprofit leaders.
NextGen applications for the current and final cycle are no longer being accepted.
